July 21 at irst Christian Church In the receiving line were the couple and their parents Mr and Mrs Jerry Hodges of 3035 Oleander Ave Merced and Mrs Dora MacLachlan of Indio and Robert MacLachlan of National City The line formed beneath a canopy of pink streamers and white wedding bells crisscrossing the ceiling of the club house Positioned on one of the pink and white covered tables was a four tier wedding cake decorated with roses and crowned with miniatures of a bride and bridegroom White wedding bells were suspended from pink streamer swags marking the pews at the church where the couple ex changed vows and rings in candlelight rites performed by Rev John Dewey White candelabra held flaming white tapers at the altar which was appointed with pink and white blossoms arranged in two stands graced with pink bows Hodges escorted his daughter to the altar for the 7 pm ceremony Her gown was a Guinevere design of satin taffeta trimmed with pink satin threaded Venise lace The lace trim defined the high neckline and cuffs of the long sleeves Narrower bands of the lace trim traced the front of the lifted bodice and full skirt and was looped over the back panniers to outline the cathedral length train Dotting the neckline of the gown was a brooch that belonged to the great grandmother the Mrs Charles Adams of Ci jyville Kan The veil of silk illusion cascaded to fingertip length from a tailored pink bow Pink roses accented her nosegay of white carnations and gyp sophila Mrs Loyal Lawson per formed the processional on the organ as Miss Cynthia Ann Sting of Santa Barbara maid SALE THIS WEEK ONLY IRST PAIR REG PRICE During arewell Luncheon Party Mrs Keith Roberts was honored at a farewell party and luncheon hosted by members of Merced Golf and Country Club Mrs Roberts a member of the club since September 1969 served as captain of the Nine Tee Niners in 1971 and was publicity chairman for the group this year She her husband and children are leaving Merced to flower girl Ralph MacLachlan was his best man and Michael Dal Porto nephew of the bridegroom was ring bearer Jerry Hodges and Anthony Eugene Hodges brothers of the bride served as ushers along with Larry MacLachlan of Indio brother of the bridegroom and Paul Dal Porto brother in law of the bridegroom Jerry Hodges and Paul Dal Porto also served as candlelighters Silver trim accented the floor length gown of peach nylon Mrs Hodges selected for her wedding Silver accessories and a white orchid corsage complemented the Empire gown which was designed with a neckline and cape sleeves A white orchid was also pinned to the bodice of the lime green crepe princess gown worn by the mother White and gold laced braid defined the oval neckline and flared sleeves of chiffon She wore gold ac cessories Miss Cheryl Hendricks and Miss Susan McDowell presided at the guest and gift registries at the reception Pink nee packets tied with white ribbon were distributed by Miss Irene MacLachlan of Indio sister of the bridegroom Mrs Russell McSwain and a cousin of the bride Miss Mary Ann airman of Winton served the cake which as baked by Mrs Don Cassidy Punch was poured by Mrs James Wyatt of Atwater and Mrs Mike Del Dotto Relatives here for the wed ding and reception included Mr and Mrs Jim Haines of Winton and Mrs Jack Hodges of Sacramento uncle and aunts of the bride and Steve Hodges
